DECORATIONS

·        Attend all Spring Fling Committee meetings.

·        Decorate both the Thunderbird Ballroom and the banquet room. Order all flowers and plant to decorate both. Arrange for centerpieces for the banquet and Al-Anon luncheon.

·        Banner for Thunderbird and smaller room (banquet).

·        Flowers and Plants: Get bids from several different vendors and florists. A florist is not always best. In 1992, Bel-Air underbid al the florists. You will need a centerpiece for each table at the banquet. The hotel will make arrangements with you to story any unused flowers until necessary. They place them in a cold until the plants re usually ordered the foil wrap the same color as the colors chosen for logo. Ribbon to accent colors. Any vendor will work with you on the colors that the Committee chooses. Order corsages and boutonniere for Al-Anon and AA main speakers.

·        Banner: "Language of the Heart" banner is already made and in storage. If another logo is chosen, painter drop cloths that are hemmed and sewn together make a great banner. There are paints that can be purchased that are pliable, in order to keep them from cracking and peeling.

·        Decorate Main Speaker Hall: You will be decorating both the Thunderbird Room and the Banquet room. Hang the banner behind the speaker platform and keep your flower arrangements low so that the speakers can see over them. Suggest no taller that 6". Art Mart carries an extra thick cardboard in a large variety of colors to make hearts, etc. For decorating. The banquet hall needs decorating also with banner and smaller set up.
